PERSONALITY                 According to friends, acquaintances, and co-workers, I am sweet, funny, devoted, compassionate, reliable, very grounded, and a hard-worker.  I'm also blunt, a perfectionist, protective, mildly possessive, and tend to get distracted by shiny objects, and cute animals. I wear my emotions in big red letters on my chest, and I have no filter.

SHORT BIO
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, I've always been a performer and lover of make-believe. I took dance lessons from the time I was 3 until I was 16 (specializing in Tap), and participated in lots of small community-center acting courses and school talent shows. I've been on a stage for as long as I can remember, and my favorite holiday was always Halloween. For anyone who's in the cosplay scene, you've probably realized that this is the typical recipe for your average cosplayer! My Nana taught me how to sew when I was about 14, when we made my Utena costume. From there, I was largely self taught, occasionally seeking the guidance of her and my mom, who taught me everything I know about styling hair. In 2007 I hooked up with the cosplay group Ninja of the Night and we've been performing together ever since!   In 2010, my friend and cosplay partner Rynn and I, were selected as Team USA for the World Cosplay Summit in Nagoya, Japan!  When I'm not working on cosplay, I spend most of my free time doing other similarly creative, busy-hands work. I like to knit (though the best I can do is scarfs) as well as participate in online text-based RPGs, and have been a moderator more than once. I occasionally sit down and read a book or play a video game, and when I do it tends to consume me for a few days to a few weeks. When the bug bites, I also like to do video editing, and actually have little pipe-dreams of creating some Cosplay Music Videos. I also have a bit of a muse for web design, which I channel into the graphics and design of my own website, as well as maintaining NOTN's website.

I collect asian-style tea sets, lanterns, and absolutely love dragons -- one day I think I'd like to get a small dragon tattoo. I have an insane love of musical theater and my favorite show is 'Wicked". I'm also a total Disney nerd and know way too much about that studio's history -- one of my favorite things to do is to watch the directors/actors commentary on animated films (I don't really care about the live action ones). I'm a fountain of useless knowledge, like the fact that only female mosquito suck blood. I don't want to be an author, but I'd love to write and publish a book before I die. I've been to Hawaii, California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Illinois, Virginia, Washington DC, New York, Florida, Texas, Mexico, and Japan;  in the future, I'd like to visit Italy, Germany, Denmark... anywhere that my friends would be willing to show me around.  I never used to have the desire to travel, but the more friends I make around the world, the more I want to see of it.
